“Do a good deed and throw it into the sea.” —Egyptian Proverb

We need not look far to see where the good deeds are spreading in our neighbourhoods and communities.

The Delmore “Buddy” Daye Learning Institute is temporarily closed due to precautions being taken to protect the safety and well-being of the DBDLI Team and the public during these difficult and trying times of COVID-19.

We value our commitment to our education partners/stakeholders and the community at large. The DBDLI staff team continues to be available to provide services, via remote working arrangements and being creative in our delivery of services. Also, we are continuing with resource development and distribution, as appropriate.

We are applying our ideas of how we can continue our important work, particularly the work with students, youth and young adults. If you have suggestions, please send them along to us.

It is important that we continue to follow the measures advised by the Nova Scotia Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Robert Strang and our Premier, Stephen McNeil.

We thank you for your patience and understanding during this critical time of global well-being. For your convenience we are providing a general guide related to self-care in the COVID-19 environment, a guide to accessing benefits under Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan, and links for up-to-date information.
