The African Nova Scotian History Challenges are back for 2026-2027!
The African Nova Scotian History Challenges are more than a competition; they’re a celebration of heritage and a testament to our commitment to education and representation. We encourage all students in the province to explore, create, and innovate as you demonstrate your understanding of African Nova Scotian history, heritage, and culture.
Finished projects can be submitted in-person or online. Each project must also be registered online.
Awards totaling $5000, medals, and prizes will be presented to winning recipients at an awards ceremony in the spring 2027.
Check out this year’s contest brochure for all the rules and details on the Challenges!
Project entries will be accepted from October 29, 2026 to February 5, 2027
