Emancipation Day

Emancipation Day honours the abolition of slavery in the British Empire in 1834 and serves as a time to remember the strength, resistance, and enduring legacy of those who fought for freedom.

As we pause to reflect on this important day, we stand in solidarity with communities across the country in honouring the history, resilience, and contributions of people of African descent.

Wishing you a meaningful Emancipation Day.
